Submitting your abstract
We are so excited that you are interested in presenting at the conference. To ensure that your abstract meets our requirements for review, please take a few minutes to read through the following information before you submit.
Types of presentations
You have multiple options for the type of submission you make, and will be asked to specify the type when submitting your abstract:
Presentation
Interactive Workshop
Exercise session
Poster presentation
Headshot and bio
When you submit your abstract we ask that you also provide us with a colour headshot and a biography. These will be utilised in our social media advertising campaigns, and in multiple different communications and Conference collateral, including the Conference Magazine provided to all delegates.
Your headshot must be a high resolution .jpg or .png file only. Please ensure that only your head and shoulders are included. Full body shots will not be accepted.
Your bio should be no more than 200 words as it will be used across multiple communication platforms, including social media. Our MC will also use your bio to introduce you on the day.
Abstract requirements
Your abstract should be no more than 500 words and should include:
A clear theme
Key messages
A high level overview of any intended interactivity or audience engagement.
Abstracts must be submitted by 11.59pm AEST 14 April 2025
What happens next?
Once your abstract is submitted it will be reviewed by our panel using a standard set of criteria.
You will be advised of whether or not you have been selected to present at the Lipoedema Australia Conference via email by 30 April 2025.If your abstract is successful...
If you are selected to present, you will be provided with a letter of offer and a speaker contract which you will need to sign and return by 10 May 2025.
When we receive your signed contract, we will assign you a Speaker Liaison who will reach out and guide you every step of the way, and support you at the conference.
Conference registration and accommodation
All presenters need to register to attend the conference. You can choose to attend only on the day that you are presenting or for the duration of the conference, in which case there is no charge for your registration. Your Speaker Liaison will provide you the necessary code to complete this registration.
If you are able to attend the rest of the conference, all presenters receive 25% off conference registration fees. We would also love for you to join us at the Gala Dinner on Saturday 23rd August. Your Speaker Liaison can assist you with registration and Gala Dinner bookings.
As a presenter you will have access to special rate accommodation in the hotel precinct. Please talk to your Speaker Liaison for details.

Advertisements in our Conference Magazine (business card, quarter page, half page or full page sizes available)
Delegate Satchel Contributions – for example brochures, samples, small products
Neighbourhood tables – giving you the chance to have a dedicated branded area for you to chat with delegates.

20 July: Accommodation bookings
1 August: Conference and Gala Dinner Registration
15 August: Final presentations due including any videos, polls
